Music students from the Hillsboro High School Band, High School Choir, and Junior High Choir had reason to celebrate after their outstanding performance at the WSMA Little Rivers Concert Festival. The festival, hosted this year by New Lisbon, featured ensembles from Hillsboro, Royall, New Lisbon, and Wonewoc-Center.
Each group performed a selection from the current WSMA Festival Music list alongside two additional pieces for a panel of three judges. Hillsboro students impressed the judges with their dedication and skill, earning the top overall score of I in every category they participated in.
"This is a tremendous accomplishment for our music program," said Paula Parker, director of the Hillsboro Middle/High School Choirs. "These students have been working incredibly hard all year, and it's gratifying to see their efforts rewarded with such positive feedback from the judges."
