The Hillsboro High School English Department recently took their annual field trip to the American Players Theatre (APT). On September 18th, students enjoyed a performance of Much Ado About Nothing, the classic Shakespearean comedy.
For many students, this was their first taste of live theater. Despite the sweltering heat, the live performance captivated the audience.
APT, founded in 1938, is one of the oldest professional outdoor theaters in the United States. The trip provided an opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of Shakespeare's plays and the world of theater. By watching Shakespeare's work take life on stage, students were witness to the power and beauty of live performance.
