The School District of Hillsboro is committed to creating a positive learning environment for all students, and the Tiger Way is one key aspect of our district culture. The Tiger Way is built on three foundational values: respect, responsibility, and safety.
Students earn "Tiger Tickets" for demonstrating positive behaviors associated with the Tiger Way, such as following classroom rules, helping others, or showing exceptional kindness. Tiger Tickets function as more than tokens of appreciation, they're a tangible expression of the recognition that motivates students to continue making positive choices. At the elementary level, students can use their Tiger Tickets to participate in weekly drawings or fill a "Bingo" card. Once a card is completed, students receive a special prize.
Last week, Kindergarten and 1st-grade students were recognized for their outstanding behavior. They were celebrated in front of their peers, highlighting the positive impact of the Tiger Way.
This simple yet effective system continues to foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment for all students in the district.
