Middle School Peace Poster Winners

Students at Hillsboro Middle School have been expressing their vision of peace through art. As part of the annual Peace Poster Contest, students in grades 6-8 created artwork inspired by the theme "Peace Without Limits."

This year, students ages 11-13 from around the world were asked to create posters that speak to our world’s infinite potential for kindness.

The contest, sponsored by the Hillsboro Lions Club, encourages young people to explore the importance of peace and express their ideas creatively. This year’s entries showcased a wide range of artistic styles and thoughtful messages.

The winners, selected by members of the Hillsboro Lions Club, are:

  • 1st Place: Aaron McCollam (6th Grade)

  • 2nd Place: Leah Thayer (7th Grade)

  • 3rd Place: Fabian San Roman Merida (6th Grade)

Aaron McCollam’s winning poster will now advance to the district level of the Peace Poster Contest. The school community congratulates all participants for their creativity and commitment to peace.
