Middle school students serve meals

Hillsboro Middle School's recent pulled pork dinner fundraiser, organized by the Middle School Behavior Committee, was a resounding success, serving over 600 meals last Friday. The event was a culmination of a student-led sales competition, with students vying for the top spots in meal pre-sales. Congratulations to the top sellers: Wyatt Lockington, Morgynn Barreau, and Adrian Martinez, whose efforts significantly contributed to the fundraiser's success.

The pulled pork dinner was about more than raising money for future student incentive days; it was also an opportunity for middle school students to engage in community service. By working at the dinner, students had a chance to give back to our community that continues to support the district and our continued successes. The Behavior Committee extends a huge thank you to everyone who supported the event, whether by purchasing a meal, volunteering their time, or spreading the word. A special thanks to Mr. B's for providing the pulled pork, along with the Women's Civic Club, and Kelli Scheder for the donation of cookies. The funds raised will directly support future enrichment experiences for middle school students.
