Hillsboro's vibrant artistic spirit will be on display this March as local students join hundreds of community members Kickapoo Valley Reserve's Creative Communities Canvas Project. This year's theme, "Resilient," has inspired a wave of unique interpretations, all captured on small but powerful 6x6 inch canvases.
From March 1st to March 23rd, 2025, the public is invited to participate in the online auction, with proceeds benefiting vital education and events programs at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve. The auction, sponsored by the Friends of the KVR, offers an opportunity to purchase an original piece of art while supporting local initiatives.
Before the online auction closes on March 23rd at 5 pm CST, art enthusiasts and community members can view the canvases in person at the KVR Visitor Center. The exhibition runs from Saturday, March 1st to Saturday, March 22nd.
