Another area of focus for the upcoming November 6 Referendum would be repairing the Middle/High School roof.
The roof is a combination of Ballasted EPDM and Fully Adhered EPDM. Throughout the entire roof, there are tented areas (due to shrinking of the membrane) as well as many split seams which have been patched as age and fatigue of the material became more of a factor. Core cuts of the roof show the insulation is either wet or deteriorated throughout. The Elementary Gym roof is also a Ballasted EPDM roof that has evidence of shrinking, tenting and punctures.
